Congratulation to the LC KOTA BHARU on their 50th. anniversary. We had a wonderful and enjoyable night with them as well as their sister clubs -LC NAGAOKA AOSHI, LC SINGAPORE TANAH MERAH & LC JIN SAN. At the dinner LC KUALA KRAI pledge & donated RM500.00 & PDG DR JP Kamalanathan donated RM1001.00 to the Tsunami disaster in JAPAN.

We received a special request by the HM for a recycling class on teaching and demonstrating the art of making traditional Chinese lanterns in the shape of fishes, flowers and other patterns using recycled red packet to all the teachers and students. They were very pleased and excited with these pro gramme - as they are very beautiful, attractive and economical.

At the same time we gave a talk on preservation of the environment and teach them to minimized usage of plastic in their daily lives.

having our usual meeting and today PDG DR JP Kamalanathan joined us to update us with the EYE CLINIC PROJECT AT ZONE LEVEL. All the Zone 1 clubs agreed to support his project. During the meeting , our RC announced& presented the awards for the PEACE POSTER WINNER FOR 2010 -2011

We donated 1 table for this Charity night in aid of the building funds which was organized by the Kuala Krai Musical and Kelly Fitness Central.
Congratulated them for a job well done. It was very well organized with good songs and dances.We had an enjoyable and meaningful night and many thank them for for donating RM50,000.00 to S.J.K. (C) YUK CHAI.

FLOOD CONDITION in the South- JOHORE were bad, all Clubs in Zone 1 quickly came up with emergency relief fund to assist the flood victims in Johor.

Ten of us attended the fellowship dinner. We had a great time with IP Sid Scruggs III & Lady Scruggs as they travel so far to visit our Zone 1 clubs - enjoyabale ,meaningful, wonderful and memorable.

IP Sid Scruggs III & Lady Judy Scruggs visited the Kota Bharu Down Syndrome Centre accompanied by DG, PID, Dato Naga, VIP, LCKB members and Lady Lions, other Lion Clubs Members, Lioness members, Leo DSC students and parents - about 250 paxs. It was a grand occasion. We congratulated them for a job well done and putting in the hard work to build a successful and beautiful center. Great Job and keep it up.
