23/7/2014 - Another 30 pairs of spectacles were presented to the needy students of SMK Kemahang Felda, Tanah Merah Together with Lions Club of Kuala Krai and Tanah Merah in the presence of PDG Dr. JP Kamalanathan and the HM.

2/3/2013 - We were invited by Pengarah Hospital Kuala Krai for their Carnival officiated by the Menteri Perdagangan Dato' Sri Mustapha–We participated and sponsored :-

1-      5 Cataract patients for operation at the Klinik Mata Hospital Kuala Krai - Lions Eye Clinic Foundation

2.-   Blood Bank GH -Blood donation and organ pledge managed  to 170 bags.

20/2 - We started the teacher training session at SYP1 by the Eye specialist from GH Kuala Krai so that the teachers can proceed with the eye screening project .  Any problems will be refered to Hospital and Lions Eye Clinic for the free spectacles.

Program             :  Majlis penyampaian cermin mata kepada 20 murid sekolah

                                 Majlis penyampaian cenderamata dan sijil  kepada guru-guru PJK

                        

Pengenalan

Rabun merupakan masalah penglihatan kabur atau tidak jelas akibat daripada focus kurang sempurna oleh sistem optik mata. Ia boleh mengakibatkan kecacatan penglihatan kekal sekiranya tidak dibetulkan.  Di Malaysia, rabun jauh merupakan masalah penglihatan yang sering berlaku terutama kepada golongan pelajar sekolah  yang berusia dalam lingkungan umur 7 – 17 tahun. Namun, tahap pengesanan masalah rabun dikalangan pelajar sekolah khususnya di Daerah Kuala Krai masih rendah.

Objektif Umum

- Meningkatkan pengesanan masalah rabun di kalangan pelajar Sekolah Rendah & Menengah Daerah Kuala Krai

- 2000 cermin mata percuma akan diberikan kepada pelajar di Negeri Kelantan.

Objektif Khusus

- Menentukan liputan saringan penglihatan

- Mengenal pasti faktor penyebab rabun di kalangan pelajar sekolah

- Mengenal pasti jenis-jenis rabun yang dialami

- Membuat penambahbaikan

- Menilai keberkesanan tindakan penambahbaikan.

Eye Screening & Blood Donation

26/1 - Eye Screening Project at Desa Pahlawan, Sungai Durian for 150 Army Wataniah Regiment and managed to collect another 50 bags of blood for our Blood Donation Campaign (Joint project with Hospital Kuala Krai & REJ 506 AW)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gift of Sight

 

 

 

On the 7th October 2012, we attended the 3rd Anniversary cum Fund Raising Dinner & Official launching of "Gift of Sight". This event was launched by the Lions Eye Clinic Foundation to raise fund to help the poor and less fortunate to regain sight. The Guest of Honour YB Dato' Sir Liow Tiong Lai's representative presented a cheque of RM500,000.00 to support this project. Congratulations to the Lion's Eye Clinic Foundation.
