15/9/2013 - We celebrated Malaysia Day with the students and teachers of Yuk Chai Primary School. They organized a colouring contest, classroom decoration, quiz, fashion show.

Launching of the Reading Action Program at SK Bandar Kuala Krai

20/1- In conjunction with the Launching of the Reading Action Program(PELANCARAN PROGRAM NILAM)  at SK Bandar Kuala Krai, we donated books and funds to the School Library during the  School Assembely .  Students are encouraged to read more books and incentives will be given to the students who read the most books. Their names will be recorded in the record book. Thanks to our OC Lion Ng Heng Seng for a job well done.

  

 

 

Flooding in Kelantan

 

 

 

27/12/2012 -  Most rivers in Kelantan has gone down under the warning level, except Rantau Panjang which is going steady at 10.3 M and  should steadily go down after tomorrow (full moon). Most are starting to clean up as the water retreats. This is only the 1st. wave of the monsoon.

28/12/2012  – Today the rain started again in the morning. Hopefully it will not cause flooding again.

Our photo entry was one of 46 photos from 18 countries that was displayed at the 95th Lions Clubs International Convention in Busan, Korea to showcase the beauty of our environment has been successfully selected to appear in the 2013 Lions Environmental Photo Contest wall calendar, which is available for sale to the public, please email programs@lionsclubs.org.

Moulding of prosthetic limbs for Encik Zulkifli Che Ahli by Mr. Billy

Our District 308B1 – under the term of   DG DR.Ben C Ng for the Program of prosthesis

has approved an artificial limb at the cost RM5000.00 for patient Encik Zulkifli Che Ali  

(NRIC: 661219-03-5389).

He came from a poor family with 4 children – below working age. Formerly he

worked as a security guard until he suffered from severe diabetes and lost his limb at 

General Hospital, Kota Bharu.  Due to his condition, he is unemployed and he needs

the help of an artificial limb to lighten his burden.

 (His case was followed up and examined by our PDG Dr. JP Kamalanathan).

Lions Club of Kuala Krai thank LCI District 308b1 for the contribution of

1 complete set of knee prosthetic to LCKK - patient En. Zulkifli Bin Che

Ali - which was fixed on the 22/7/2012 at Kelinik Krai by Mr. Billy and Mr.

Sunny from MS TEH LIN PROSTHETIC & ORTHOPAEDIC CO SDN BHD, 

KUALA LUMPUR.

On the same day, 4 pairs of spectacles were presented to 4 students from

SMK Pahi (for our eyesight project)

Meet the 2nd. Candidate Ln. Chu (Club Visit)

12/4/2012 - 2nd. Candidate Ln. Chu visited our club and had a fellowship campaign lunch with us. He made an offical visit to our adopted centre -PUSAT PEMULIAN CENTRE & donated RM1000.00 to the centre.  Thanks to him and we take this oppournity to wish him and the team all the best of luck for their campaign.

 

 

 

Tahun Melawat Kelantan

 

 

 

 

 

Tahun Melawat Kelantan 2012 - our government organized a float competition as a tourist attraction. They were 10 floats from different district. Every float symbolizes their own tradition and culture.

We would like to express our congratulation to all districts and working committees especially Kuala Krai.

It really makes us felt proud as it highlights our specialties in Kuala Krai such as:

1.       Bird Park

2.       The Hanging Bridge of Sultan Ismail

3.       Bradley Step

4.       Famous Krai Fish (Moveable Tail)

5.       The Highest Water Fall Gunung Stong – Rafflesia Flower

6.       Special Food – Lemang, Mangoesteen, Cempedak, Starfruit

Thanks again to our District Officer, Secretary and working Committee. Unfortunately, we didn’t win the competition due to failure of the generator set during the procession but well done to the working committees for their good efforts.
